ATEC snags funding to scale tech-driven cooking

Cambodia-based ATEC has raised USD 15.5 million to expand its smart cookstove network and increase the supply of verifiable carbon credits. The IoT-enabled stoves are said to track household emissions and integrate with blockchain systems. Up to 200,000 units will be rolled out across Asia and Africa. Lightrock and Trirec co-led the investment, with participation from the Schneider Electric Energy Access Asia Fund.
